Los Angeles Labor Day Events 2017

The final long weekend of summer has arrived and we’re ready for the slew of Los Angeles Labor Day events to choose from. There’s something for everyone in our weekend guide. Each item ranges in price and location perfect for every Angelino to enjoy the weekend.





Golden Road Brewery


Golden Road Brewing Presents Made in LA Music & Arts Festival 

Price: $30 for a two-day pass plus two beer tickets. 

Location: Golden Road Brewing, 5410 West San Fernando Road Los Angeles, CA 90039

Details:  Made in LA is a two-day music and arts festival held on September 2nd and 3rd at Los Angeles’ own Golden Road Brewery. Musical acts such as the American dance-pop group YACHT and rap’s Warren G are slated to perform this year. Attendees can snack on food trucks and a specialty menu for the event and sample locally brewed beers such as Golden Road’s exclusive Made in LA release. The event is 21 and over only and all ticket proceeds will benefit the LA-based charities: Light Bringer Project, Heal the Bay & Wags n Walks. 




LA County Fair


Los Angeles County Fair 

Price: $14-20 adult, $12 ages 6–12 , $15 ages 60+

Location: 1101 W McKinley Ave Los Angeles, CA 91768

Details: The LA County Fair is opening Labor Day weekend with extended hours and is featuring musical acts such as country music’s Hunter Hayes, Colombian superstar Juanes, Boyz II Men & Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds over the weekend. Expect new rides and attractions like the fantastical additions of “Magical World of Dragons, Wizards and Beasts,” which lets viewers step into a land of dragons. Wine classes, a beer & spirits bar and specialties such as deep friend hot sauce and french toast bacon bombs will make appearances this year

Los Angeles Fleet Week 

Price: Free

Location: Downtown Harbor, San Pedro, CA

Details: This Los Angeles Labor Day event honors our U.S. Navy, Marines and Coast Guard service members with a free event. LA Fleet Week features guided tours of the  Battleship IOWA, SS Lane Victory, or Los Angeles Maritime Museum. Make sure to book a reservation in advance to guarantee your spot for the guided tours. Military exhibits, aerial demonstrations, entertainment, food and fireworks are all expected at this year’s fleet week. More events can be found on the 2017 schedule for the weekend.




Three Day Rule


Three Day Rule’s 2nd Annual Labor Day Pool Party 

Price: $10- $25

Location: Viceroy Santa Monica, 1819 Ocean Avenue Santa Monica, California 90401

Details: If you are feeling social, the party begins for you at  1:00 p.m. on Labor Day. The matchmaking service, Three Day Rule, is hosting a pool party at the Viceroy Santa Monica with 500 guests and discounted Svedka cocktails, DJs and a BBQ. Ladies can mix and mingle while sipping on cocktails and take advantage of the GlamSquad’s complimentary braid bar at the event. The first 200 guests get a free pair of sunglasses upon entry but every attendee gets to walk into the party with a red carpet entrance. 




Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum


USC vs. Western Michigan or UCLA vs. Texas A&M

Price: Price varies on ticket location and number

Location: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum or Rose Bowl Stadium

Details: Whether you are a Trojan or Bruin, both of Los Angeles’ college football teams are playing their first game of the season on Labor Day weekend. Head out to the LA Coliseum and watch sophomore USC quarterback, Sam Darnold, take on Western Michigan. Sunday, UCLA will play Texas A &M at the Rose Bowl for the kickoff of their season.

Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks 

Price: Price varies on ticket location and number

Location: Dodger Stadium, 1000 Vin Scully Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012

Details: Celebrate your day off with America’s favorite pastime, baseball. The LA Dodgers will be playing the Arizona Diamondbacks on September 4th. Come to the game and receive a Dodger BBQ Labor Day glove giveaway. Grab the family and head to Downtown for Dodger dogs and night of baseball on the last day of the long weekend.
