Five Fall Festivals in Georgia You Should Attend

September 22nd marks the first day of autumn and to celebrate, attend one of these fall festivals in Georgia with friends or family. Our list ranges from family friendly to Oktoberfest but there are more to choose from across the state to enjoy the fall season.

Schedule varies by day 

Fall Fest is a free festival for all located in Candler Park. Run in the 5k, or enjoy the music and family fun over the weekend. Pick out new jewelry for yourself or accessories for your home at the artist market- dozens of vendors are expected to attend. Taste your favorite cuisine from myriad food trucks and savor your favorite beers. Face painting and other kid friendly activities will be at the kidlandia portion of the festival.

 

 

 

Sandy Springs Festival

 

Sandy Springs Festival 

September 23rd-24th

 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Mere minutes away from IMT Sandy Springs, this event is known as the largest community event in Sandy Springs with an activity for everyone. Attendees can snack on delicious food, take in the pet parade or participate in the chalk walk competition. Men and women are also welcome to enter the man cave with beer, bourbon, barbecue and video games.

 

 

 

Atlanta Greek Festival

September 28th- October 1st

On September 28th, take home the flavors of Greece with the drive-thru. The menu includes chicken souvlaki, gyro sandwiches, and moussaka plates. As one of the fall festivals in Georgia, guests can enjoy the finest foods and entertainment of Greece like the festival’s craft agora- where vendors can sell their wares or enter a tent to learn traditional Greek dances. Oktoberfest Atlanta

1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

Celebrate a tradition in Germany right in Atlanta with a crisp, cold beer, German cuisine and music. Bavarian pretzels and other German fares will light up your taste buds and leave you satisfied. Take on your friends in a game of Giant Jenga, Connect Four or cornhole while you sip on your favorite beer. 

 

 

 

City of Alpharetta 

 

Alpharetta Scarecrow Festival 

September 30th 

10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

One of many fall festivals in Georiga, the scarecrow festival is fun and free for the whole family. Walk around with the kids and take in over 100 scarecrows in display in downtown. Play cornhole, sample delicious food or enjoy a hayride at this event with your family in tow.
